Our lab investigates various aspects of child and adult language. We are especially interested in how children acquire the meaning of words, how children and adults arrive at sentence interpretations and how these two age groups compare with each other developmentally, and how sound and meaning interact in context.

Our lab director is Dr. Kristen Syrett, an Associate Professor in the Department of Linguistics and the Center for Cognitive Science.

We are actively seeking children and undergraduates to participate in our child languageand psycholinguistic studies. We offer a number of opportunities for students to get involved in hands-on research. Interested? Please explore the links to learn more!
